i’ve had one of these for a few years, not had to use it thankfully, but just want to pass on that the zipper of the case is made of metal.
if you use this while sea fishing, overtime the zip gets corroded and cannot be opened
the case is very good quality apart from this flaw, but if you are keeping it in a life jacket then it needs to be checked prior to each trip, otherwise there is a very good chance that you will not be able to open the case to access your PLB unless you have other tools available

SkippersMate reply: You make a good point Graeme and we would not recommend the zippered pouch in salt water environments. In later years of the KTi PLB development, the company produced two additional pouches that we still sell in our store:
